Are you looking for ways to deepen your own spirituality and allow your faith to grow? Are you trying to find a way to reach out to Catholics who have wandered away from the practice of the faith? Are you looking for an evangelization program which can work in any parish setting?
The Legion of Mary group at Saints Peter and Paul Parish is called Our Lady of Sorrows. The Legion of Mary is one of the largest lay apostolic organizations, with over three million active members throughout the world. The Saints Peter and Paul Legion of Mary group has been active since 2007. In addition to devotional prayers to the Blessed Virgin Mary, we do Spiritual and Corporal works of Mercy, such as visiting nursing homes and parish homes. We also foster Catholic ideals and devotions in our parish with the Pilgrim Virgin Visitation Home Program. Our members share a fellowship with others who share their ministry, a sound prayer life, and a devotion to Our Lady, who invariably leads all souls to Jesus Christ.
We meet every Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at SSPP in the Ministry Center (Room 227). For more information please contact: Bernadette McKeon 267-885-9571 or Paulette Shea 630-718-2127.
