We need volunteers to lead our parish efforts to offers many adult education programs and resources to deepen our faith. The New Evangelization means learning about our faith; deepening our spiritual lives; inviting others to the same encounter with Christ, particularly through the sacraments; and bringing our Catholic beliefs to bear in the secular realm. Bible Studies, Parish Mission, and other speaker events are held throughout the year.
We offer a Baptism Preparation Class for parents on the 1st Monday of each month beginning at 7:00 PM in the Ministry Center Building. Both Parents are encouraged to participate in the class if they have not done so in the last few years. Godparents are welcome to participate as well. Couples interested in teaching the Baptism Prep Class should contact Tiffany Whitaker for more information.
We require participation in a PreCana workshop for those preparing for Holy Matrimony at Saints Peter & Paul. Classes are offered quarterly and volunteer speakers are needed for different life skill topics. Participation in one instructional class on Natural Family Planning (NFP) is also required.
The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony is scheduled here on Fridays at 4:00 PM and on Saturdays at noon and 2:30 PM. Rehearsals for Friday weddings are at 6:00 PM on the Thursday before; rehearsals for Saturday noon weddings are at 6:00 PM on the Friday before; and rehearsals for Saturday 2:30 PM weddings are at 7:00 PM on the Friday before.
We are looking for volunteer sponsors and team members for RCIA which is the process by which one becomes a fully initiated member of the Catholic Church. Participants can be those who are unbaptized and have no Christian background, those who were baptized and raised in other Christian communities, or even Catholics who have not completed their sacraments of initiation (Confirmation and/or Eucharist).
